Student Services

Advising

Academic advising for undergraduates is regularly available on site or can be conducted over the phone or by email. Students may schedule an appointment by contacting Dr. Myra Hafer at (972) 599-3126 or Myra.Hafer@unt.edu. Students interested in completing the BAAS degree at the CHEC should contact Trey Anderson at Trey.Anderson@unt.edu.

Disability Accommodations

UNT is committed to full academic access for all qualified students and is willing to make reasonable and appropriate adjustments to the classroom environment and the teaching, testing, or learning methodologies in order to facilitate equality of educational access for persons with disabilities. Students who have a disability and require some type of reasonable accommodation must be registered with UNT’s Office of Disability Accommodation (ODA). This process typically takes up to two weeks. Students seeking assistance with disability accommodations at the CHEC should contact Dr. Myra Hafer at (972) 599-3126 or Myra.Hafer@unt.edu. Students may also visit the UNT office at the CHEC located in Room 131.

Minor Children

No childcare is available for children at the CHEC. Please note that university policy prohibits children in the classroom or computer labs. In addition, children under the age of 16 years may not be left unattended in other public areas at the CHEC.
